Global Food & Wine Group, a Queensland food and beverage wholesaler with roots dating back nearly 70 years, has entered voluntary administration, with Mark Holland, Anthony Connelly and Melissa Smith of McGrathNicol appointed joint and several administrators on 18 August 2026.
The appointments cover Global Food & Wine and four associated companies. The administrators are conducting an urgent review of the group while seeking funding to maintain operations and preserve a potential sale or recapitalisation. They have said they intend, as far as practicable, to continue operating the businesses while working with employees, contractors, suppliers and customers, although some disruption is expected.
The administration places one of Queensland’s longstanding hospitality suppliers into a formal restructuring process at a time when the administrators are seeking sufficient liquidity to keep services operating. No details have yet been released on the group’s creditor exposure, the immediate cause of its financial difficulties or the amount of funding required.
